<p>A process for producing a tension wrapped unit (10) of an array (11) of parallelepiped flexible packs (12) wherein a pusher clamp (13) disposed adjacent side panels (18, 19) and back panel (17) of the array pushes the array toward a plastic outer packaging material (20) of two film sheets sealed at the center. The packaging material is disposed adjacent the front panel (16), top panel (14) and bottom panel (15), and the array is maintained stationary by pusher plate (23) and by resting on base plate (22). As pusher clamp (13) retreats, guide rollers (24) wrap the material adjacent the back panel. The array is compressed in direction C by pusher clamp (13) and compressed perpendicular to C by pusher plate (23) while the packaging material extending transversely beyond the array is disposed adjacent the side panels (18, 19).</p> |
