PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material good in thermal response, reduced in the fog of a background and excellent in storage stability, that is, humidity resistance and plasticizer resistance. SOLUTION: In this thermal recording material wherein a thermal color forming layer containing a leuco dye colorless or light-colored at normal temp. and an org. acidic substance reacting with the leuco dye under heating to develop a color is provided on a support, one or more kind of aromatic dicarboxamide represented by the formula is added to the thermal color forming layer. This dicarboxamide derivative has excellent thermal response as a chemical agent for the thermal recording material and improves image stability, that is, humidity resistance and plasticizer resistance. |
