PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight glass composition for substrate having a high strain point by using a specific glass composition. SOLUTION: The glass composition for substrate has >625 deg.C strain point, 70-90×10-7/ deg.C average thermal expansion coefficient at 50-350 deg.C, the specific gravity of <=3.3 and substantially a following composition by wt.%. That is, 39-54 SiO2 , 0-14 Al2 O3 , 0-5 B2 O3 , 0-10 MgO, 0-10 CaO, 5-25 SrO, 5-25 BaO, 0-7 Na2 , 0-15 K2 O, 0-6 Li2 O and 0-6 ZrO2 . |
