<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting device for rolling mills with which the manipulated variables of plural shape control actuators are determined in a short time. SOLUTION: A reverse mill is provided with a work-roll bending device 17 for imparting bending force to work rolls 20 and an intermediate-roll shifting mechanism 16 for shifting intermediate rolls 19 in the axial directions of rolls. And, in a shape manipulated vairable setting device 10, from the predicted values of rolling such as rolling load, thickness and tension at each pass which are imparted with a constraint condition setting device 12 for deciding constraint conditions by which sheet crown and shape at the final pass are made into the target values and schedule calculation arithmetic unit 11 and predetermined objective function, the manipulated variables at each pass of the work-roll bending device 17 and an intermediate-roll shifting device 16 are determined by mathematical programming with a shape actuator setting arithmetic unit 14.</p> |
