PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acne-treating composition containing a hydroxypyridone compound or its salt and a sebum secretion inhibitor as active ingredients, not having side effects such as irritation, and capable of effectively treating the acne. SOLUTION: This acne-treating composition contains (A) a 1-hydroxy-2- pyridone compound of the formula (R1 is a 1-17C alkyl, a 2-17C alkenyl, a 5-8C cycloalkyl, etc.; R2 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, a 2-4C alkenyl, an alkinyl, a halogen, phenyl, etc.,) or its salt and (B) a sebum secretion inhibitor (preferably an extract of a leguminous plant) as active ingredients. The component A includes 1-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-pyridone. The component B is obtained from a leguminous plant such as Glycyrrhiza glabra or Glycyrrhiza uralensis as a raw material. The content of the component B is 0.005-20%, preferably 0.05-10%, based on the whole amount of the composition. |
