<p>A goalie hockey stick including a shaft, a paddle and a blade. The paddle and blade are attached such that the angle between the paddle and blade is similar to the said angle on a conventional goalie hockey stick. The shaft's longitudinal axis is rotated and rigidly attached to the paddle so that the angle between the shaft and the blade is greater than the angle between the paddle and the blade, on the above said goalie hockey stick. The larger angle between the shaft and blade allows the goalie to handle the puck better. When the paddle is placed flat on the ice, the above said shaft's longitudinal axis rotation with respect to the paddle, will cause the shaft to be is close enough to the ice that a puck is prevented from sliding thereunder. The above said shaft's longitudinal axis rotation with respect to the paddle will improve the durability of the above said goalie hockey stick, by spreading any stress across a larger surface area.</p> |
