Magnetic field alteration detection using optical radiation

摘要

The method uses fibre-optic magnetic field sensors. An optical input radiation is coupled in to at least one light conductor crossing over a length of variable air or a protection gas stretch. Consequently it is decoupled from at least one light wave conductor as output radiation. The light wave conductors, with at least two materials with different magnetostrictive behaviour, are connected fixed in such a manner that length alterations of the air or protection gas stretch are called up by the magnetic field alterations, and then evaluated.
