Wind-powered generator e.g. for high output power

The wind-driven electrical generator is constructed within the space formed by an electricity distribution pylon and comprises an electro-mechanical generating unit from which a shaft extends upwards along the axis of the pylon and has concave-shaped blades to cause a single direction rotation of the shaft when exposed to an air flow. An electricity distribution pylon (10) has electro-mechanical generation equipment housed (11) at its base and at its axial centre. A vertical shaft (1) extends along the axis of the pylon and is able to freely rotate on a bearing (12) on the generator housing. A number of pairs of concave wind vanes (2,3) are attached to the shaft to form a conical assembly. The generated power may be fed directly into the grid system.
