PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting a damage on any type of linear amplifier if it is a three-phase motor driven type or a single-phase motor driven type. SOLUTION: In a method for detecting a damage on a linear amplifier wherein a damage on linear amplifier circuit 1 is detected from an output detected value of the linear amplifier circuit 1 which outputs driving current for a motor 2 and a set damage detection threshold value, the output detected value of the linear amplifier circuit 1 is detected by the voltage across a current detecting resistor of the linear amplifier which constitutes the linear amplifier circuit 1, and a difference between a current command value of the linear amplifier and the voltage value across the current detecting resistor is calculated and then the difference is compared with the damage detection threshold value, and a damage on the linear amplifier is detected from the comparison result. |
