<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in the image quality and audio quality due to edit by setting a reproduction branch connection point to minimize deviation in reproduction time data so as to minimize a pause time for video reproduction and audio reproduction. SOLUTION: The device has a read section 1 reading digital compression data consisting of compressed digital video data and audio data, a 1st input section 3, a 2nd input section 4, a time difference calculation section 2 calculating a time difference gap smaller than a permissible range gap-range, a display section 5 visually displaying a reproduction branch connection point, and a synchronization edit section 6 synchronously editing the digital compression data based on the time difference gap smaller than the permissible range gap- range. Then an edit connection point time is calculated to minimize deviation in a reproduction time data at a reproduction branch connection point in response to the designation of the reproduction branch connection point and the reproduction branch connection point is set based on the calculated edit connection point time.</p> |
