PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device constituted so that a large space is not required, the balance of a developer stirring and carrying action by which the fixed quantity of developer can be recovered is kept constant with simple constitution, an image without density irregularity is obtained by forming a uniform developer layer and the developer is prevented from blowing off from the end part of a developer carrier. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an aperture part 10 formed on the lower part side of a developing casing 2, a shutter 11 which can be opened and closed so as to cover the aperture part 10 and a recovery container 12 recovering the developer dropping by gravity when the shutter 11 is opened. Then, the aperture part 10 is formed so as to be an oblong hole extended in the width direction of the device. Besides, the capacity of the container 12 is set to be smaller than the prescribed quantity of toner housed in the developing device. |
