PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly fix in high fixing strength on a printed circuit board, stably hold the potential of a metal shield arranged so as to cover an insulating housing in the earth potential to strengthen the ground function. SOLUTION: A receptacle type electric connector 1 has an insulating housing 2, a plurality of terminals 3 fixed to the insulating housing 2, and a metal shield 4 fixed so as to cover the outer wall of the insulating housing 2. A fixing/ grounding terminal 14 for fixing the electric connector 1 to a printed circuit board and connecting the metal shield 4 to a ground circuit is extended from the metal shield 4 and installed to each part interposing a fixing surface 2b between the front and rear both sides at the both ends in the lengthy direction. |
