<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device which is capable of detecting the direction and magnitude of the force and inputting the position, inexpensive, excellent in operability, and compact in the pointing device to be used in an information processing equipment such as a personal computer, and an input device using it. SOLUTION: A pointing device comprises a lower film 15 in which resistance electrodes 19, 20 detached at least at two parts are arranged, and an upper film 14 in which a common electrode 21 opposite to the resistance electrodes 19, 20 with the prescribed intervals, and the film is pressed at the prescribed position on the circumference from the back side so as to be brought into contact and to make an input. The direction and magnitude of the operating force are detected and its position can be inputted.</p> |
