PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send a broad band information signal by using plural modulation signals outputted from a spread modulation signal generating means to execute inverse spread spectrum processing to a spread spectrum signal received by a reception means respectively. SOLUTION: A radio receiver 201 is provided with a rake receiver section 8 that applies inverse spread spectrum processing to a reception signal obtained by modulating a carrier signal by the biphase modulation system according to a pseudo random pattern signal and received by using plural (N) spread modulation signals whose spread code differs to extract and to output a reception information modulation signal. Thus, under the condition where multi-path fading takes place on a transmission by on-land mobile communication or the like, for example the spread spectrum communication system is obtained by transmitting a broad band information signal with high quality more in comparison with a conventional system.
