METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SEPARATING FOREIGN MATTER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter separation device for separating the solidified matter of paper powder or toner grains from toner recovered from a photoreceptor and reutilizing the toner and an image forming device using it. SOLUTION: The toner recovered from the photoreceptor is discharged to a cylindrical bottle 25 provided with a spiral projection 24 on the inside wall and made to drop on a mesh filter arranged on the inside wall of the bottle 25. By vibrating the filter 26 by using a vibration exciter 35, the recovered toner is filtered. By rotating the bottle 25, a foreign matter is transfered toward the bottom part thereof along the path surface of the inside wall of the bottle 25 formed by the projection 24. Besides, the bottle 25 is freely loaded and unloaded with respect to the image forming device.
