PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate for exposure with red laser beam having a hard tone and excellent in image reproducibility by incorporating a specified sensitizing dye into a silver halide emulsion layer. SOLUTION: A sensitizing dye represented by the formula is incorporated into a silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula, each of Z<1> and Z<2> is a group of atoms required to from a 5-or 6-membered N-contg. hetero ring, each of R<1> and R<2> is an alkyl, aralkyl or an alkenyl, R<3> is an alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group, R<4> is H, an alkyl or an alkoxy, Y is S, Se, O or NR<5> , R<5> is an alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group, each of (k), (l) and (m) is 0 or 1, X is a counter ion and (n) is 0 or 1. The halogen compsn. of the silver halide of the silver halide emulsion layer consists of 59.0-94.7mol% Cl, 4-40mol% Br and 0.3-1mol% I. |
