A method for regulating a fabrication cycle for a fibre optic, comprising a fibre manufacturing furnace in which a preformer is introduced at a regulatable speed of descent, following which one measures the tension of the bare fibre in order to control the speed of descent of the preformer comprises- (a) a stage (37) of regulation of the speed (34) of descent of the preformer, as a function of the tension of the bare fibre; and (b) a stage (36) of regulation of the power of the fibre manufacturing furnace, as a function of the speed of fibre fabrication. The regulation device for a cycle of fibre fabrication of a fibre optic is also claimed, comprising a fibre fabrication furnace into which a preformer is introduced at a regulatable speed of descent and incorporating a system for measuring the tension of the bare fibre working in conjunction with a system for regulating the speed of descent of the preformer as a function of the measured tension of the bare fibre. |
