PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform loading work easily and effectively without any trouble to arrange a working bench by mounting a long walking step along a side outer surface of a deck if a transport vehicle such that the step is turntable between a storing position opposite to an outer side of a side wall and a using position extending substantially parallel from the outer side of the side wall. SOLUTION: A pair of this walking step device A for a packing box are disposed along a side wall B2 of left and right both sides of a packing box B1 of a dump car B as a transport vehicle. The walking steps 2 mounted turntable along the side wall B2 of the packing box B1 and a stopper for holding this walking step 1 in horizontal state and a derive means 3 for turning the walking step 1 are mountain the device. The drive means 3 is operated to turn the walking step 1 disposed along the side wall B2 of the packing box B1 when load is loaded on the packing box B1, which allows a worker to ride on the walking step 1 and to perform a desired work.
