PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution emitting ink to detect the presence of ink or the emitting state thereof, to suppress the consumption amt. of ink to reduce running cost and to enhance realibality. SOLUTION: In restoration operation emitting ink in timing exceeding a predetermined time interval during recording operation to restore an emitting state and ink detection operation detecting emitted ink droplets to detect the presence of the residual amt. of ink or an ink emitting state, respective emission patterns are made different and the level at a time of the detection of ink during ink detection operation is set corresponding to emission patterns. |
