PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive resin composition useful in the filed field of light electrical appliances, office apparatuses, etc., excellent in rigidity, impact resistance, elongation characteristics and colorability, by blending a polystyrene- based resin having a specific molecular weight with a high-impact polystyrene in a prescribed ratio. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending (A) 25-99.9 pts.wt. of a polystyrene-based resin having >=350,000 weight-average molecular weight [e.g. a one having <=1wt.% oligomer content, the ratio of a content having a molecular weight corresponding to <= a limit molecular weight (e.g. 35,000) of <=3% and 0.8-8wt.% of a methanol-soluble content] with (B) 75-0.1 pt.wt. of a high-impact polystyrene (e.g. a one obtained by dispersing 5-15wt.% of a rubber component having 0.1-5μm average particle diameter as a polybutadiene content to 100wt.% of the polystyrene and having >=150,000 weight-average molecular weight of the matrix).
