PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prepare a laboratory animal useful for the research of diseases such as obesity and hypertension, etc., by detecting a gene to be the cause of a specified phynotype. SOLUTION: A restriction endonuclease cut part provided with a gene variation to be the cause of the phenotype selected from the obesity, the hypertension, diabetes, aging, hyperglycemia, artherioscelerosis, rheumatism and incomplete immunity is decided, DNA is extracted from an animal and processed by the restriction endonuclease, if the laboratory animal is homozygous, heterozygous or normal relating to the variation gene is decided based on the presence of a restriction fragment by the restriction endonuclease and the laboratory animal for expressing the phenotype is prepared. |
