A releasable attachment system consisting of a groove (2) in one side of a block of material having resilient properties (1), e.g. polystyrene or polyurethane foam. The groove (2) is open at both ends of the block of material (1) and has a cross-section enabling said block to be snapped onto a holder in the shape of an elongate shaped section (3). The system is useful for producing signalling structures or for fastening panels or accessories of all kinds.
