DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY DEPOSITING ALTERNATE STACKED LAYERS OF AT LEAST TWO FINE MATERIALS ON A MOVING CARRIER

A device for continuously depositing alternate stacked layers of at least two fine materials on a moving carrier (1), said layers having constant or varying controlled thicknesses, is disclosed. The device includes main hoppers (4A, 4B) and means (5) for removing the fine materials from the main hoppers and delivering them to secondary hoppers (6A, 6B) arranged above said moving carrier. The device includes at least as many secondary hoppers as there are layers to be deposited, and each secondary hopper is provided with a lower opening for dispensing the fine material therein. The opening includes a rear wall (7) extending down to a point slightly above the previous layer, while the front wall (10) extends down to a point selected in such a way that the distance between said point and the surface of the previous layer determines the thickness of the layer deposited by the secondary hopper in question.
