Bottle identification device, specially applicable to bottles of wine or the like, in order to identify said bottles, even when they are piled up or stored in bottle storage units or similar locations. The identification device is comprised of a disc-shaped body (1) made of die-cut material or the like, provided with an orifice (2) having dimensions which are appropriate to introduce and house through said orifice the neck (3) of the bottle (4), the disc-shaped identification device (1) remaining frontally arranged around the neck (3) of the bottle. Thereby, it is possible to read directly the identification characteristics and/or data printed or hand-written on the disc-shaped identification device (1).
