A container cap including a skirt (2) with an open lower end (2<u>c</u>) for fitting same onto a container, and a substantially planar top surface (2<u>d</u>) with diametrically opposed bearing portions (5<u>a</u>) on either side of the central axis (2<u>a</u>) of the skirt, and hooking means for hanging the cap from a supporting rod. The hooking means include at least two rod-engaging points below the plane of the top surface of the skirt, and consist of a hook contained within the space defined by the skirt (2), and an elongate and preferably L-shaped channel is provided in the cap for inserting the rod through the top surface (2<u>d</u>) of the skirt and guiding it into the hook.
