Staircase for use where curved staircases are needed

The staircase has at least one side plate (12) and a handrail (11), which has a curved upright post (13), in the region of the curved path. The post is formed in at least two parts, with one curved part (14) built into the side plate, and the other part (15) built into the hand rail. The two parts are connected together by bolts (16), and the part which is built into the side plate may extend to just below the handrail. The other part may be fixed into the handrail so that it is flush on all sides.
