<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove org. matter and suspended solids in waste water and to obtain high quality treated water by fitting a flocculant adding device to a biological filtering apparatus in which waste water is allowed to flow upward. CONSTITUTION:Raw water is fed from a raw water feeder 3, a flocculant is added to the raw water from flocculant adding device 10 to carry out flocculation, air is blown from aerators 4, 5 and the raw water is biologically filtered under aerobic conditions in a filter tank 1. By adding the flocculant to the raw water, SS (suspended solids) in the raw water flocculates together with org. matter, the particle size of particles is increased and the particles are easily captured by a filter layer 2. The amt. of SS in the waste water is reduced and clear treated water is obtd.</p> |
