PURPOSE:To prevent a transmission operation from being performed wastefully, by inputting a signal to judge whether or not an automobile telephone is present within the service area of a radio telephone, and interrupting the transmission/ reception operation of data when the signal is present outside the service area. CONSTITUTION:When communication between a radio device 3 for an automobile telephone and a radio station is disabled due to the separation of distance between them in performing the transmission/reception processing of a facsimile equipment 2, an outside area signal is outputted from the device 3. Also, when off-hook from an opponent is performed or the communication on the middle way of a line is disabled, a busy tone is outputted from the device 3. A system control part 28 monitors the outside area signal and the busy tone by a reception signal monitoring part 245. And when the outside area signal or the busy tone is detected, the reading of an original image by a scanner 21 and an encoding processing and an image information transmission processing by an encoder/ decoder part 23 are interrupted immediately. In such a way, it is possible to prevent an unrequired transmission operation such as the transmission of image information not being received by the opponent from being performed. |
