PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the packaging density and to reduce the adverse effect on an optical communication during a connection switching work by incorporating a switching connector and providing the slide moving section which slides with respect to a base section and appears from and disappears into the outside the other end section of the base section. SOLUTION: A slide moving section 32 has the outer shape so that the section 32 is freely slides against the inner wall surface of the square cylinder shaped extended section which is extended to the rear side of a base section 31. An MT connector 10 is stored inside the section 32 as the switching connector to connect and make optical fiber tapes 8a, 8b and 8j switchable. During the pulling-out operation of the section 32, the pulling-out extra-length located in the pulling-out extra-length storage section is pulled out with the movement of the section 32. Conversely, during the pushing-in operation of the section 32 into the extended section, a loosen condition is resulted as the entering movement of the section 32 into the extended section is made. In this case, a pulling- out extra-length processing member deals with the loosen condition to eliminate tangling during the extension and contraction. |
