PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inverter excellent in reliability by a method wherein the logic section of the inverter is protected against heat released from the main circuit of the inverter by cooling down the main circuit and logic section of the inverter effectively so as to prevent troubles or malfunction from occurring in the logic section. SOLUTION: An inverter is equipped with a main circuit 4 which includes a heat releasing device 4, a logic section 5 arranged so as to be separated from the main circuit 4, a shielding member 7 provided between the main circuit 4 and the logic section 5, and a cooling means with a coolant path where coolant is made to flow so as to cool down the main circuit 4. The main circuit 4 and the logic section 5 are provided in separate chamber respectively, and the shielding member 7 is provided so as to serve as a second coolant path which thermally isolates the main circuit 4 from the logic section 5. |
