PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of a plane polishing step using the slicing face as a main face by slicing a columnar dielectric in a perpendicular direction to the axis of the dielectric into dielectric elements of specified thickness and forming electrodes on the slicing faces of these elements. SOLUTION: To A block-like dielectric 21 is sliced along lines parallel to a first direction X and then along lines parallel to a second direction Y perpendicular to X to form square columnar dielectrics 22. Each dielectric 22 is sliced with specified spacings in a direction Z perpendicular to the long axis thereof to form dielectric elements 23 of specified thickness. An electrode 24 is formed at one end of one main face of the dielectric element 23, the slicing face thereof, thereby obtaining a dielectric unit 25. Thus, the plane polishing step using the slicing face as a main face is needless.
