PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for using a small capacity memory for maintaining information to be used for the generation of a high bias histogram and capable of detecting an unexpected inclination and generating an accurate expression by selecting information to be stored in the memory by probability based upon a certain threshold. SOLUTION: Sales information executed by a certain POS terminal 105-j (j=1, 2,..., n) is inputted to a database system 190. In the system 190, information related to a certain item is received in order to input the information to the system 190, and when the system 190 already includes other information related to the item, the other information is updated based upon the received information. When the system 190 does not include other information related to the item, the received information is added to the system 190 by probability to be a function of a certain threshold. The probability is success probability at the time of adding the information to the system 190. |
