PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid galloping with a simple structure effectively by fitting a pair of connecting pieces which are jointed so that both sides of the first and second attaching pieces facing each other may be connected to each other and so as to rotate freely. SOLUTION: The first fitting piece 2 is constituted of clevis-shaped hardware, a fitting base on the opposite side to a U-shape is fitted through connecting hardware 2a at a steel tower so that it may not rotate in the extension vertical direction of a cable. The fitting base of the second fitting piece 3 is fitted onto an insulator string through connecting hardware 3a. When buoyancy occurs at the cable, tension decreases and the second fitting piece 3 is drawn to the first fitting piece 2 side by action of a spring 4c of an expansion joint 4. A pair of connecting pieces 5a, 5b, when the distance between the fitting pieces 2, 3 is reduced, is twisted so that it may absorb the reduced distance. When wind which blows the cable weakens and original tension is recovered, a pair of connecting pieces 5a, 5b restores. Therefore, buoyancy of the cable is avoided, thus preventing the galloping phenomenon effectively.
|
