摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of providing a spacer capable of uniformly and constantly retaining between two electrode substrates because of the reduction in adverse influence based on adhesive particles which are impurities by reducing the content of adhesive particles comprising a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: This adhesive particle composition contains (A) adhesive particles obtained by coating particle body having 1-20μm average particle diameter and <=10% coefficient of variation (preferably cured particles of amino resin or resin particles crosslinked with divinylbenzene) with a layer containing a thermoplastic resin [preferably a (meth)acrylic resin or a (meth)acryl-styrene-based resin] and (B) adhesive layer particles comprising the thermoplastic resin, and a ratio of number of the component B to that of the component A is <=30%. Adhesive force of the component A to polyimide is preferably >=50%. Average particle diameter of the component B is preferably 1μm. The composition is obtained by coating, e.g. the surface of the particle bodies with a thermoplastic resin, removing the component B having average particle diameter larger than that of the component A and removing the component B having average particle diameter smaller than that of the component A.
