摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dropping of drain, adhered to a control valve, onto a compressor by a method wherein the control valve, controlling the flow of refrigerant, discharged out of the compressor, is arranged above the compressor. SOLUTION: Upon cooling operation, low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant flows through a fourth connecting pipe 33, connected to an indoor heat exchanger, and a third connecting pipe 32, connected to an accumulator. Accordingly, drain 34 is produced on the surfaces of the connecting pipes 33, 32 while the drain 34 flows along the tubular main body 28 of a four-way valve 9. However, the tubular main body 28 is provided under a condition that the main body 28 is slanted so that the side of a terminal 27, provided on the upper surface of a compressor 8, is higher and the opposite side of the terminal is lower whereby drain 34, which flows along the tubular main body 28, drops onto the opposite side of the terminal in accordance with the inclination. According to this method, drain will never drop onto the compressor 8.
