BOARD-MOUNT ELECTRIC CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved board-mount electric connector to introduce voltage induced in a conductive shell by FRI (radio frequency interference) to a grounding surface of an installing board by the shortest passage. SOLUTION: A base board-mount type electric connector 1' has one or more contacts 6' fixed to an insulating body 3', and an external part is surrounded by a conductive shell 2'. A base 11' integrally formed with this shell 2' is provided, and capacitor elements 26' are arranged in recessed parts of the base 11'. A conductive platform 31 is installed on the base 11' through an insulator 23'. The capacitor elements 26' are sandwiched between the base 11' and elastic spring fingers 33 arranged on the platform 31. FRI induced voltage of the shell 2' is directly introduced to a grounding surface of an installing board through these capacitor elements 26'.
