The deformable articulated structure has controlled displacement in n degrees of freedom. The structure has a number of superposed articulated modules (M) made up of a series of n+1 superposed plates (P1,P2,P3) articulated one to the other. One edge (C1A,...,C3C) of each plate is articulated from the edge (C2A,...,C1C) of the following plate, or the first plate of the next module. A different edge of each plate is articulated from the corresponding edge of the preceding plate. Each plate in the same sequential position in each module (for example first plate and first plate) is connected to the same control linkage (T1,T2,T3), which moves in a direction perpendicular to the plates, causing the plates to tilt relative to each other.
