PURPOSE:To provide the subject new compound useful as a pest-controlling agent such as an insecticide, a miticide, a nematicide or a germicide. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are each a 1 to 6C alkyl or a halogen; R<3> is H, a 1 to 6C alkyl, a 1 to 6C haloalkyl, a 1 to 6C alkylsulfonyl, etc.; R<4> is a 1 to 6C alkyl, a 1 to 6C haloalkyl, phenyl, pyridyl or a 2 to 6C alkenyl, etc.; m is 1 to 20; n is 0 to 2), e.g. 5-chloro-6-ethyl-4-(8- methanesulfonylamino-octylamino)pyrimidine. The compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III in the presence of a base (e.g. triethylamine) in a solvent (e.g. THF) at -20 to 20 deg.C. The concentration of the active component in a preparation of the compound of formula I is 1 to 50wt.%, 0.3 to 25wt.%, 1 to 90wt.%, 0.5 to 5wt.%, 0.5 to 5wt.% or 0.1 to 5wt.% each in the case of an emulsion, a powder, a wettable powder, a granule, an oil solution or an aerosol. |
