PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of continuous image formation at a constant strength of color. SOLUTION: An image sampling section 204 counts the number of picture elements of image data used for recording, and a main CPU 100 measures a period of time elapsed from the end of recording to a former recording sheet to the start of recording to this recording sheet, and measures internal temperature from temperature information from the recording head. And then the conversion characteristics of aγconversion is changed on the basis of the three factors given above, that is, the number of picture elements counted, the interval of recording time and the internal temperature of the recording head.
