<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or eliminate chattering sounds generated from a leaf-spring for a permanent magnet type electromagnetic brake in the leaf spring system. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic brake concerned is equipped with a ring- shaped armature 12 containing a ring-shaped permanent magnet 1, a magnet assembly 6 incorporating a coil 5 and fixed to a fixture 8, and a hub 14 fixed to a rotary shaft 7, wherein the armature 12 and hub 14 are coupled together through a plurality of rubber dampers 10 installed in the gap in the right-angle coupling part of the two members at a certain spacing in the circumferential direction, which can manage without use of any leaf spring. The rubber dampers may be equipped with ribs in the radial direction.</p> |
