The invention concerns a device on loading ramps and loading docks for loading and unloading of a lorry. Upon loading and unloading with conventional stop blocks (backing guards) damage occurs on loading docks and lorries through vertical movements together with contract pressure. The invention solves this problem by having a spring (4) positioned on a ring (1) with guide pins (2). Spring (4), connection arm (3) and block (5) follow the vehicle's vertical movements upon loading and unloading with a truck, while at the same time contact is held between the block (5) and the vehicle.
