<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the cut paper and roll paper to be transported selectively by providing with a cut paper and roll paper transport routes and a switching member switching the both routes in the upstream side of a transport drive roller transporting a recording material. SOLUTION: A drive roller 1 and a roller 3 are contacted with each other, and a roll paper 1 advancing along a transport route 27 to the direction of arrow B is held by the roller 1 and the roller 3 to progress, in the state where a projection part 19 of a switching member 10 is approached into a groove 18 of the drive roller 1. When the switching member 10 is rotated counterclockwise, by a predetermined amount, the projection part 19 of a roller stand 6 is contacted with a control body of the roller 3 to retain the tip of a roll paper, and the projection part 19 and the roller 3, therefore, the switching member 10 and the roller stand 6 are rotated, resisting the action of a spring 7, so that the projection part 19 is escaped from the groove 18 to form a transport route 26 between a guide plate 12 and the upper surface of the switching member 10. When a cut paper is supplied to the direction of arrow A in this state, the cut paper is transported with the drive roller 1 and a transport roller to a image formation part.</p> |
