The regulator (26) is connected to an inlet conduit (20) which links a transmission box (10) to an oil pump (28) part of a circuit (14). An outlet conduit (22) is provided at the other extremity of the box. An air jet is provided inside the box by a conduit (24). The regulator includes a plastic body (28) inserted between two segments of the inlet conduit (20A,B). The body presents a control chamber (32) with a cylindrical shape. A float (34) is placed inside the chamber. Its position on the oil surface is detected by a sensor (40) cooperating with a metal target (38) attached to the float.
