The slide bearing (4), forming a slide bearing bush, has at least one slide surface (8) in contact with a part movable in relation to the slide bearing. The textile material of the slide bearing consists of knitted fabric made from at least one textile fibrous material. The knitted fabric is formed of a circular knitted tube containing metal filaments or threads (3) of refined steel. The knitted fabric contains a particularly wear-resistant textile fibre material such as carbon fibres. The textile can be two-ply and plastically deformable.
