Composition of geological systems for reduction of unwanted material processing

Certain geological systems are influenced by a process that uses electric fields which are generated to bring about electrochemical reactions, physical or chemical action on crystals or mobilisation or de-mobilisation of material within the system. The electric field is generated by a migrating electrode fuel cell or other electrochemical cell or by the installation of electrodes, the voltage being generated externally. The field produces pH gradients, Eh (redox) gradients and gradients of ionically dissolved or colloidally dispersed components that cause mobilisation, precipitation or transport of material in the system.
