Soft magnetic alloy having high magnetic permeability

Soft magnetic alloy comprises: (a) a crystal phase containing mainly Co and an element T chosen from Fe, Ni, Pd, Mn and Al and having a face-centred cubic lattice, a space-centred cubic lattice, or a mixture of these with an average grain size of 30 nm or less; and (b) a ferromagnetic amorphous phase surrounding the crystal phase and containing an element M chosen from Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Y and rare earths, O, N, C, B, at least an oxide of element M, Fe, and element T. Also claimed are: (i) a magnetic constructional element comprising a magnetic core made of the above alloy; (ii) an antenna with an element made of the above alloy; and (iii) a wave absorber with an element made of the above alloy.
