Speed change measuring system in non uniform movement especially rotating shafts of machines and systems

The method and system measures speed changes in moving components in machines and installations. A secondary magnetic field caused by eddy currents arising from movement induction when the component moves in a primary magnetic field, is superimposed on the primary magnetic field. The strength of the secondary magnetic field and hence that of the magnetic field resulting from the primary and secondary fields is proportional to the change in speed per unit time, of the component, and can be measured. The primary magnetic field may be bound in a ferromagnetic material and this cuts through the component which is moved. The primary magnetic field may be provided by an electromagnet and also be a permanent magnet.
