Method for coupling substances, especially allergens, to a solid phase comprises the use of a hetero-bifunctional coupling agent having a first functional group that covalently bonds to the solid phase and a second functional group that is chemically activatable. Also claimed is a system for in vitro diagnosis of allergies, comprising allergens covalently coupled via hetero-bifunctional molecules to free binding sites on the surface of support elements.
