PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound in high yield in a single step without causing gelation in the reaction system, etc., by reaction of allyl methacrylate with hydrosilane compound in the presence of a catalyst and specific compound(s) while blowing a molecular oxygen-contg. gas into the system. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be obtained by reaction of allyl methacrylate with a hydrosilane compound in the presence of (A) a platinum catalyst and (B) one or both of hindered phenol compound and aromatic amine compound while blowing a molecular oxygen-contg. gas into the system at a rate of pref. 1X10<-5> to 3X10<-4>mol/min. For both the allyl methacrylate and hydrosilane compound, it is preferable that the molar ratio: allyl methacrylate/ the hydrosilyl group in the hydrosilane compound be 0.83:1.2.
