The appts includes an air source vapour compression refrigeration system contg a compressor (51), a condenser (31), an expansion device (22), and an evaporator (21) all interconnected in a closed refrigerant flow loop. A device (53) is provided for controlling the apparatus for operation in different operating modes. E.g. in a cooling mode the upper, lower and middle dampers are in their respective the first positions, a heating mode in which the upper, lower and middle dampers are in their respective the second positions. A defrost air duct (61) extends from the lower section to the upper section. A defrost air duct damper (62) is located in the defrost air duct. The control device further comprises device for configuring the appts for operation in an active defrost mode in which the upper damper and the lower damper are in their respective the first and second positions, the middle damper is in its the first position, and the active defrost duct damper is in its the second position. |
